We were all exceedingly saddened to hear of the passing of Nikki Kaye yesterday. Many owners of unit title properties and members of the BCCG hold Nikki in the highest esteem because it was her Private Members bill that ultimately became the Unit Titles Act Amendment Act 2022.

The BCCG National President has prepared a letter to members to draw attention to four matters of particular concern to all members.
The four matters are:
- The third tranche of sections of the UTA Amendment Act 2022 and associated regulations which will come into force on the 9th of May 2024
- An opinion from Pidgeon Judd Law on the new LTMP provisions
- An important meeting in Auckland about Inner City Security and Safety which may have repercussions for other cities.
- A round table meeting held to consider a rebuttal to the ‘A Living Hell – Apartment Disasters’ mini-series that was run in February/March this year.
