BCCG appoints Catherine Slater as Executive Officer
Body Corporate Communities Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Catherine Slater as Executive Officer.
This is an important step for BCCG as we move from strategy design into delivery. Through Transform30, our five-year strategy to 2030, we have set a clear direction for how BCCG will grow its relevance, visibility and impact across the multi-unit community sector. Catherine’s appointment gives the organisation dedicated operational capacity to help turn that strategy into action.
Catherine brings strong experience in project management, operational improvement, stakeholder coordination and delivery. Her background includes leading project and PMO work, driving continuous improvement, and working across complex organisations where clarity, structure and follow-through matter. Those strengths are well aligned to what BCCG now needs as we strengthen our foundations and build momentum across awareness, advocacy, education and partnering, and funding and resources.
Historically, much of BCCG’s work has been led by committed volunteers, supported by a small number of paid officer roles. The appointment of an Executive Officer is therefore a significant development for the organisation. It reflects both the scale of the opportunity ahead and the need for more focused execution.
Catherine will work closely with the National Executive to support governance, member engagement, communications, events, stakeholder relationships and implementation of Transform30 priorities. Her role is designed to help BCCG become more coordinated, more visible and more effective in serving owners, committees and multi-unit communities across Aotearoa.
