Membership Types and Subscription Rates

There are three main membership types.  Each type receives notification of every meeting as well as periodic news emails and have access to the Members Area of our website and to all resources available there; including, copies of presentation material from our meetings and video recordings of presentations and Q&A session(s).

Body Corporate members 

Body Corporate membership is a group membership type - note that the Body Corporate is the member not the current Chairperson. When a new chair is elected, the membership continues. The body corporate can choose who represents them at meetings, though meeting content is typically targeted toward chairpersons.  

Other forms of strata ownership such as company share or corporations may also become body corporate members. 

Body Corporate members have voting rights.

Associate members 

There are three types of associate membership:

  • Associate - Body corporate management company
    Body corporate secretaries and facility/building managers
  • Associate - Other company
    Organisations with a commercial interest in body corporate matters including lawyers, accountants, media and other professionals that engage with bodies corporate.
  • Associate - Individual
    Individuals without a commercial interest but who wish to remain connected to body corporate matters including ex-body corporate chairs and unit owners whose body corporate is not a BCCG member.

Associate members do not have voting rights.

Casual members

Casual members don't pay any membership fees, but will still receive notification of every meeting as well as periodic news emails. Casual members can join as; Casual - Body corporate, Casual - Management company, Casual - Other company,  or Casual - Individual.

Casual members can attend meetings; a $40.00 entry fee per meeting will apply. This will be credited towards an annual subscription if you decide to become a financial member.

Casual members do not have voting rights and do not have access to resources on the website.

Attendance at meetings, notices and resources

Payment of the annual membership fee entitles members to free entry to all BCCG meetings. Non-financial members and their guests will incur an entry fee of $40.00.

Body Corporate members, Associate - Body Corporate Management Company members and Associate - Other Company members may be accompanied by ONE guest at no additional cost, a SECOND guest will incur an entry fee of $20.00.

All guests of Associate - Individual members will incur an entry fee of $40.00.

Membership costs

The BCCG financial year runs from 1 July to 30 June.
